Can you guess the Two things you need to stay healthy?

We start good habits young and teaching our children

You guess the first one? Dental care? And it’s true that taking care of your teeth can improve your health all the way around. Gum disease can affect your lymph system and of course your head, but it doesn’t stop there. Extra plaque and germs can enter the rest of your body through the blood stream.

A clean mouth does keep you healthy

Seniors dental health is especially important as heart disease, strokes, blood clots and other ailments are often started with poor dental health and preventive care. But the dentist isn’t the only thing.

Vision is a critical need, too. So much time on computers, phones, and other devices can affect your sight. Changes can be a simple as astigmatism but grow to being much more serious. And, let’s face it, you don’t want to embarrass yourself when someone points out something and you can’t see it. That is a bummer.

Your eye doctor sees more than just your eye

Take a moment and look at Dental and Vision plans that are prefect for individuals, families and seniors. Find a plan your interested in, check to see if you dentist or eye doctor accept the plan, and then, if you are ready, you can purchase the plan.

Some plans may have a few days until they are effective and active, may have little or no deductibles, and may be affordable ($20 or less a month premiums).

As always, I love to give options that make a better fit. Senior plans for vision and dental with Medico, Aetna, GTL, and Humana are just some of the companies we can look into.
